The Mississippi Advisors' Meeting is a non-profit annual meeting serving advising professionals in Mississippi. Faculty and professional advisors from senior institutions and community colleges, both private and public, benefit from attending and participating in the annual Mississippi Advisors' Meeting.
The importance of advising is evident in retention figures and in the development of the whole student. The common goal in higher education is to promote the student and the institution. This is achieved in part through quality advising. The annual Mississippi Advisors' Meeting provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and methodology related to advising issues for academic advisors.
